Yesterday there was a civil marriage of convenience between the Association of Fashion Designers of Spain and the French Federation of Women . The intention is to achieve greater visibility and internationalization of Spanish fashion outside our country.
In this union, signed by Modesto Lomba, president of ACME, and Jean-Pierre Mocho, president of the FFPAPF, both parties agree:
I support the creators of ACME in its international development plan , making the protagonist of the events taking place in Paris in 2011 and 2012.
II. collaborate with Spanish fashion in their internationalization through France, bringing synergies to participate in events taking advantage of the tools and platforms of the Federation.
III. Harmonise calendar of fashion events taking place in France and Spain within the context of international agreements concluded between France and Spain, to define an international calendar.
IV. Community headquarters defend the adoption of rules on compulsory origin marking for all products.
V. Operate together in the struggle for the defense of intellectual property enabling the various Community and national offices, all sorts of useful actions to achieve the objective.
VI. Encourage the development of the young designers participating in training in France and Spain.
VII. Collaborate in trade and cultural and educational events French-Spanish with the support of institutions of both countries and Europe.
VIII. cooperate in operations with strong media power: public relations, press conferences, parades, etc.
This marriage has an expiration date, as the contract, initially, will last two years (but may be renewed, if it works-you know how these things modern marriages-), although this The latent heat of the moment was (even with the odd discreet “Long live the newlyweds!” and “That kiss!”).
Personally, I think that ACME is doing a great job taking the initiative on projects that help not only the birth of a culture of Spanish fashion, but to activate the market (something completely necessary.) What is not clear to me is what wins FFPAPF all this …
For the moment, it appears that the sole purpose of this liaison is to facilitate the presence of Spanish brands in the French trade shows, to be seen whether the pact later, brings a new fruit for both parties and the next is a baptism.
